Claimant says:
"Mid July my grandmother decided to purchase a vehicle for me as an early graduation gift. She has been doing business with this company for 50 years! She had picked out and wrote a check for a 2013 Malibu, and later cancelled the check due to the car being too expensive. Sine she did not want to pay so much she settled for a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. I picked up this vehicle and was informed it had only 1 previous owner and had only been in 1 "fender bender." Two weeks after leaving the dealership the Grand Prix's transmission started slipping. I also read the manual to find that the vehicle should only take premium gas with 91 or more octane. I was not informed of this picking up the vehicle, therefore I had no idea what type of gas was put into the tank by the dealership. Shortly after the vehicle started giving me problems, after a busy day of running and putting $30 of premium gas into the tank the Grand Prix broke down. Transmission blew on the highway. After a few times of turning car off and back on I was able to roll around vehicles to the shoulder to get my fiance and I to safety. That was Friday, August 1st, leaving 13 days before the 30 day temp tags were up. I paid $110 to tow car back to dealership. Originally I had asked for a reliable vehicle for my family. I have two children under the age of two. This is clearly NOT and reliable or safe vehicle for a family. I am also a tall man and there isn't room in this vehicle for two car seats. Supporting a family I cannot afford to keep a V8 that takes only premium gas, and replace a transmission after only being a 6 year old car. I assumed being a company of 5 star service Westfall O'Dell would have honored the "lemon law." My grandmother since has tried to return the car and purchase a vehicle of higher value. Not only do they want us to legalize and non-working vehicle and trade it in to get the vehicle we want, but also wants us to pay another $4,500 for a new transmission. This should be taken care of considering the vehicle only made it half way through the 30 days of purchase, and is still titled to Westfall O'Dell."
