Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I cancelled an order online with WEBstaurant Store (CLARK) within 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon in October 2016. I followed up the cancellation within the website at the same time using the customer service division to ensure the cancellation. I have all the emails. I received confirmation via email that the cancellation was received. The order was not cancelled and was sent in multiple boxes and damaged. I contacted WEBstaurant upon delivery and was told they would be sending me a return and apologized for the mixup. That didnt happen.
I then contacted Jay Imports several weeks later and spoke to a very helpful employee, Alanda who is the representative of the item I purchased. She was very helpful and was very surprised that WEBstauant was treating me unfairly.
Today, I received an email stating my refund less restocking fee of $264.35. Although its stated on their website that there could be a restocking fee, I was told there would not be due to the mix up."

  • I feel that WEBstaurant is not being honest nor fair by ignoring this valid complaint. I forgot to mention that much of the shipment was damaged and WEBstruant did not pay for the return....Jay Imports did! Therefore, they are making money $264.35 and sold nothing! WHAT A SCAM! I'm going to dispute the charges with BBB and my credit card. BUYER BEWARE! WEBSTAURANT IS NOT FAIR NOR CONSUMER FRIENDLY! I was a good customer for years, but they will never get my money again.
