Claimant says:
"This is a summary of the problem.
We never got copies of anything that we signed or even unsigned copies.
No Good Faith Estimate
No Settlement Statement
No Signed Contracts
No Closing Costs or Hud-1 or escrow breakdown.
They must have changed everything after we had signed the papers.
We do not know the actual purchase price, % Rate, Term, Fees, Anything, and what they delivered and set up on our property was not what we were told we were buying.
The escrow account did not pay the mobile home taxes as promised. I had to pay them myself.
Everything that they told us was a lie. The value of this unit is $15 - $20,000 less than the one we were sold. There is no way we could verify the thickness of the walls or floors while the unit was assembled on the lot.
They tried to get us to commit mortgage fraud to get the loan approved. We would not do it.
And after numerous attempts to get signed copies of everything, they never let us have them.
The Monthly payment is several hundred dollars more than we were sold. The escrow account is not what we were told, The unit is not what we were told we were buying and the down payment was twice what we were sold. The term ? We can get nothing signed and in writing from them. This has been going on for about a year and we are now completely broke, have very limited income, over spent on maxed out credit cards trying to make ends meet and I just had to go on Social Security Disability, for a back injury. We have no insurance. I cannot get my back fixed and we owe a lot of medical bills.
There is no recorded mortgage and we are afraid that the salesperson bought the home herself, financed it in-house and actually we are just paying her rent ?
