The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

"The reason that we have not responeded to Mrs. Ashcraft complaint with the (you) Prople's Claim is that she filed this complaint with the Attorney General also (first) and did not think that since we had already responeded to their complaint request that we needed to file with another. We also received something regarding her from another company. We want to make sure we are answering her but we some many request coming in want to address them as they are received and finalized. I will be more than Happy to porvide you the results once we receive them in writing, since the decision is for University Woods. The charges that Mrs. Ashcraft was billed was correct (pictures on file). The water bill that she is speaking about was her bill for the time she lived here, if she would just look at the dates on the bill and we have explained to her in FULL DETAIL. They bill a month behind, the person or persons living in the home has to use the water before they can be billed for the usuage, that is why it was received after her move out (this amount is billed by The City Of Fairborn, not just amount we charge). I wish Mrs Ashcraft did not feel this way, but she is upset with us, due to a situation that her son has with the property, not because of something that we have done. We follow all Tenant, Landlord and Fair Housing Laws and Rights. I have resident's that have been here 27 years and residents that have just moved in that are extremely happy here, we have won the Mayors Award for Civic Pride / The Mayors Beautification Award and Also the top Property Performance Award. We take a lot of Pride in our Community and our Residents. We have the most amazing people that live here at University Woods, and again I am sorry for the way that she feels about our Community but the charges that she received are accurate and fair. Have A Wonderful Day........
    University Woods"
