Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"To Whom it May Concern: Their advertisement is false, they do not provide door to door service for 1 thing and after I gave the deposit of $125.00 to set up the transport. They then told me that I would have to pay an additional $25.00 to meet the person that was transporting my daughter's vehicle far from where I lived. I was told by Greg Dipietro of UFirst transport that the driver of the truck did not want to waste his gas to come to my residence to pick up the vehicle, so I had to meet him in massachusetts in order to avoid paying the additional $25.00 fee. No where in the contract did it state anything to this affect or that this fee would be charged. I was on a strict time line which they knew about. I was already stuck, because I already paid them the deposit. I did discuss all these issues with Christina (Dispatch Manager) and Greg Dipietro (sales consultant), with no explaination or resolution from either of them. They tell you things to sucker you in and then there are all kinds of hidden fee's and incoveniences that they do not disclose. I did have them ship my daughter's car from Nashua, NH to Orlando Florida on 7/29/12. When I met Andy of DGL transport on 7/29/12 in the applebees parking lot in massachusetts. I gave him the keys and I asked him where the transporter vehicle was and said it was in the parking lot, it was a huge parking lot with other stores. I drove around the whole parking lot and didn't see the transporter. He then went inside applebees to eat dinner. The vehicle was left unattended with personal items inside of it for 2 hours. later I saw Andy get into my daughter's car and take off. I don't know where he was going. I called him on his cell phone to find out where he was and he said the truck was parked about a mile away. Another lie he told me. He kept telling me that he does this all the time and that her car would get down to florida fine. My daughter had several personal items in the car which Andy knew about. It didn't matter to him that the car was left unattended. There was a phone adapter that was left in the consol of the vehicle when I dropped it off to Andy. There were several personal items as well in the backseat. That were not taken. When the car reached Orlando, my daughter met andy to get her car. While he was still there she asked him where the adapter was and he said he never seen it. When my daughter called me about this, I in turn called Christina at UFirst transporters and she said that she would talk to andy about this. She then called me back and told me that my daughter would have to take a picture online of the item that was missing and send it to andy and that he would replace it or reimburse her. My daughter complied with what they wanted and still has not received a phone call or any resolution from any of them about this matter. I've been trying to get in contact with UFirst (Christina) and Andy (driver of DGL transport) with no return calls. I have left 2 messages by phone and an email without any response. Please help me with this. I'm a single mother on a very strict income and I cannot afford all this aggravation and pain and money issues that myself and my daughter have been going through. I think they are a fraudaulent company and that they steal from their clients. The total cost to ship my daughter's car was $625.00. Which they received their payment in full. I would never recommend anyone to use this company for transporting a vehicle. Please help me resolve this issue. Thank you Donna Landry"

  • I received a call from the owner of the company today 8/13/12 at approximately 3:45. He was extremely rude and very condensending. He basically told me that If I was a decent mother that I needed to just move on and forget about the phone adapter. He said that if he had to replace everything that was missing when someone complained he would be broke. Which leads me to believe that this has happened before, probably many times and nothing has never been done to resolve any of it. He's a liar and a cheat.
