Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have submitted a fraudulent claim that was on my Visa Credit card on 01/08/16, This was done by a illegitimate company by the name of Binary Book / Binary Option.

This company is any took my information and then used up all of my $6000.00 that I had on my Visa. They were only to use 200.00 of this. I have made a complaint with Sun Coast filling out a fraud statement and explaining AND sending them numerous information that they requested. At one point they put the money back into my account, and then on 05/15/16 I received a letter from SunCoast advising me that due the letter that they got from this company I was not getting the money put back and now I have to pay back the whole sum.
Binary Book said that I was trading with them on a everyday situation, which none of this is true.
The account number for this case was at the charge back dept. is for my bank D1601301482.
I don't feel that SunCoast is treating there customers correct especially when I have all the proof that this is a fraudulent claim."

  • You are reading AND taking the word of an illegitimate trading company that is not allowed to do business in the U.S. and is total fabricating the situation! I allowed them to trade with ONLY $200.00 not my entire credit card amount, what is legitimate about this? I did not authorize them to steal my credit card information and remove all my available funds from VISA and there fore should not be accountable for what they STOLE...

  • Jun 19, 2016, Claiming party added:
  • This person is the one that continuously called on my phone and was the one that stole my credit card information. He said that I could contact him at scott.walker@binarybook.com
I wish to pursue this matter and resolve it with my money back to my Visa account.
After I told him that I wanted to discontinue any activity with them I was locked out off my account and could not get a hold of anyone.

Respondent's Counteroffer Hide
The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • "This response is being provided by Darlene Helms, Vice President/Internal Audit. Your complaint was referred to me for research. A formal review of our internal records was performed, including but not limited to, the claims dispute filed by the member, as well as documentation provided by Binary Book.

Based on this review, it appears that there is a contractual dispute between the member and Binary Book with regards to the terms and conditions of their “trading agreement”.

The Credit Union has followed its ordinary dispute process and, unfortunately, the member will need to seek resolution with Binary Book. Please feel free to contact me directly at 1-800-999-5887, extension 86322, or via email at darlene.helms@suncoastcreditunion.com regarding any additional questions.

    Sincerely,

    Darlene Helms

  • Sad to say but binary options are a common fraud. Binary Book is not based in the US and most likely not licensed to operate within the US. I would call the SEC. I would also request that Suncoast revisit the issue if the company is indeed operating illegally. I do not know what a credit card company's obligations are if you did give the card number, but unlawful transactions were made by an unlawful company.

I should also note that I was invited to "invest" with a binary options company and discovered that it is gambling at best. One would have to be extremely sophisticated and trading with a licensed company to make money, even with a legitimate company.
