Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I purchased a 2004 Chevrolet 3500 series truck with 6.6 duramax diesel engine.Sullivans installed
replacement injectors in Febuary 2013 at a cost of $6500.00 I drove 140 miles and the injectors had to be replaced again at witch they told me I would have to pay an additional $2500.00 for a fuel pump.Since I picked up the truck in march I had water in the fuel system.Ralph the gentlemen in charge of the maintance department told me I had purchased bad fuel.I disagreed and asked for them to check the fuel tanks for possible leak. Ralph insisted he checked the tanks and there was no hole after several months of changes filter's and fuel station's I was still dealing with the same problem.I was sure there was a leak and they told me they checked for a leak again and charged
$550.00 even after being unsuccessful. I drove the truck from them to another repair garage where they applied the same test to fuel tank when they found the 1/4" diameter hole in the rear tank in about 10 minute's.After finding leak and fixing leak including part's they charged me
$227.00 at the same labor charge per hour as Sullivan's Northwest hill's dealer charge's.I can't help but feel like I have been taken advantage of and will no longer purchase anything from Sullivans Northwest Hill's and was writing to make you aware of my doubt in their business practice's."

  • Dear RP: I'm sorry for the trouble that you have experienced with your 3500. It's Sunday and I don't have the opportunity to review your service history, but tomorrow I will do that and have a response for you. I am not familiar with this site "PeopleClaim" and this morning is the first I have heard of your complaint. I will review with my General Manager, Steve, and the Service Manager, Brian (not Ralph) and one of us will be in touch. I can tell you that my service facility has a very good reputation and we work hard to maintain that... and when we make a mistake we step up and make it right.

  • RP: I have reviewed your service history with Northwest Hills and my service manager, Brian Cavanaugh. Brian attempted to contact you directly on Monday, but was unable to reach you. In discussing the repairs and the timeline for how this all transpired, it appears that Brian did have a couple of phone conversations with you on, the last of which was March 4th- which is a week after this complaint was posted. At that time we learned that you had additional issues with your truck after picking it up from our dealership and that you brought it to another facility to have additional repairs performed. Brian asked at that time why you hadn't informed us of the additional problems...and assured you that if you had, we would have certainly worked with you. Actually, the CT DMV requires that you give a facility an opportunity to make good on what someone may perceive to be poor workmanship...and if you do not...then you may forfeit your rights to remedy. However, part of the reason for this last phone call on March 4, 2014 was to collect final payment from you for the repairs that we did...and because of the information that you shared with Brian, he applied an additional discount of $100 to the charges that you paid. So, in essence, you were "refunded" $100 due to the issues that you continued to have. This was a goodwill adjustment that was extended to you without seeing any additional documentation as to what you spent. In the this phone conversation, Brian also understood that you were happy with this resolution and with the service that you received from us. I would be more than happy to discuss this with you further if you would like to. As I mentioned in my previous message: we stand behind our work. We can only do that if we are given the opportunity to do that. I would certainly welcome you to return to the dealership for future service.
