"After being a big buyer of their chocolates since they opened, I had a big problem on 12/7/12 that showed me the quality of the chocolates is not matched by their customer service. On that day I asked to buy one chocolate covered cherry to sample. The clerk wordlessly handed it to me from behind the glass case. Immediately I bit into it---and the cherry pit. They admitted they usually give oral and written warning but did not that day (the sign with ingredients was pointed in the wrong direction). Nonetheless, they said I was to blame for not knowing that a cherry with a stem has a pit. Not true! Cocktail cherries in jars have stems but not pits.

Since they I have had my $1,500 dental claim for repairs to that tooth denied by their insurer, and in such dishonest, rude terms that it adds insult to i njury. Buyer beware if you go to Stam's!!"

  • That I suffered injury to my tooth is undeniable. Nor did your shop people deny that no sign was in evidence and no oral warning given. You are wrong not to take personal responsiblity, even if your insurer does not. You are not being libeled. Libelis when there are lies. There are no lies on my part. I can shout to the rooftops how I was injured and you did nothing for me, just as you did nothing for a person before me who suffered the same fate, according to your manager.

    "THis claim has been denied by both our insurance company and our legal council. Ms Redmond is trying, through outside pressures, force us into giving her money (aka black mail). If this goes any further we will consider a libel claim against anyone who partakes in her scheme."
