"I hired Speedy movers To move me across the country from Texas. I spoke or emailed almost daily with Luke Sullivan @ speedy and was led to believe my move would take 7-10 days for delivery! I was asked by the driver on our pick up day when we would be available for delivery! I assumed we would be getting our stuff a day or two after we got to our destination! My husband and I made a direct drive with only a few stops for a rest and got to our destination the very next day ! Nothing was said to me about storing my stuff in a Dallas warehouse for 12 days before the truck even left Texas! I was also quoted one price on the contract and on delivery day that doubled ! I knew I had more boxes than what was on the BOL but had no idea I was going to be charged twice as much! I was also told at least 4 times I had a balance to be paid in a Postal Money Order or Cash before they would take my stuff off the truck! I paid a credit card deposit, paid half by personal check on pick up day , and was told COD on delivery! The day before delivery the driver calls to say he is delayed in another area and would not be able to deliver on the day promised! Mind you I have already waited 14 days to get my stuff, slept on the floor and went to a laundry mat while waiting! I am 67 and my husband is 72 ! This is not what we should be doing at our ages! I insisted on the delivery as they have not kept their word about all the other promised things they were doing ! My delivery was made @ 2:30 am , had I waited until they wanted to come the very next day as it was the very next day I am positive it would have been on their time late or not at all again as this whole move was a fiasco from the start! Everything that got delivered was ruined, broken, damaged, scratched, marred, or torn! Broken fine china which I double bubble wrapped gone! Glass patio table and grill broke, washer/ dryer cannot be used as the knobs to operate are electronic and it looks like something got stacked on those machines and they are now unusable, as the cost to repair one machine is over $500.00 , electric rug shampooer is broke, exercise bike and treadmill broke , leather couch looks like it got cut and fabric ripping from the frame! Boxes were dirty, some were not taped as I had them , my 38 yr old pine dining room hutch , and bar cart have gouges in the wood and probably not repairable! The cart has the wood split and coming away from the frame! My cedar chest is only a yr old and is all scratched and a piece of wood missing , broken glassware, everyday dishes, photo frames, all gone! Everything I have will need to be replaced! Everything I have saved for and bought I will have to replace! Once my stuff got picked up from Speedy Movers that are in Dallas Tx , no one would answer the phone or if they did answer , had no clue as to what was going on nor could they tell me when I would get delivered! The total delivery was delivered 15 days after it was picked up ! speedy Movers in Dallas lie , do not honor anything they say, they do not communicate to the drivers, nor do they care about the delivery after they get their deposit and the money on delivery! The photos below doesn't even cover the amount of damage!"

  • I got an email from moving claims the company that handles claims for Speedy Movers offering me $68.00 for all of my damages I thought I read the email wrong so I reread it and yes they have done nothing to help me get reimbursed! They requested me to notorize the offer of $68.00 which is all they will pay ! I have lost just about everything and I have wasted hours upon hours getting the paperwork that was needed to process the claim! $68.00 won't even cover the postage, copies and gas to and from the post office ! This company is as bad as Speedy Movers! Where can I get help to resolve this? I will be contacting an Attorney.
