"Don't fall into the lease a car trap. The dealer makes a lot of profit and so do the leasing company."
Kristen look at the e-mail I sent to peopleclaim.com addressed to you. It is very lengthy but it will give you a much better idea of what I went through and what I expect to receive From Sparks Toyota in reference to my complaint. Thanks Joe Fioravanti
Hi Joe, I've received your email, thank you for taking the time to explain in such detail all that has transpired. I understand this is incredibly stressful, and upsetting to you, and want you to know that I will be contacting Sparks Toyota today to discuss what can be done about this. To be clear, would you like to sell the car back to Sparks, and then take the money, and buy a car somewhere else? Or would you like to keep the car under lease but get a refund for the money that you overpaid, or would you like to outright buy the car? I know you have explained yourself many times, so I apologize if my question seems redundant. I just want to be sure that I am not misrepresenting you, and what you want when I talk with Sparks.
Hi Kristen the car I leased from Sparks Toyota had been sold shortly after they would not help me. By getting this car I I lost an additional $2,000-3,000. If I had another lifetime to go I would never buy any car from Sparks Toyota again. They pushed me into the lease deal right after they found out the payoff on my trade was $12,600 leaving me with a $21.400 refund to me as they gave me $34,000 for my trade. My opinion is that they saw all this money they had to return to me and decided to try pushing me into the leasing of the car, I wanted to buy, In this manner they had increased their profit margin substantially so being as they kept pushing me into the lease Saying "It was better for me to go this way. As I think I explained before I suffer from Bi-Polar depression and under stress I would agree to anything that would stop the stress from continuing, so I accepted the lease deal after several hours of conversation. They in no way imaginable had my best in mind. The Car I was trying to buy had a MSRP of $35,500 and if I bought this car instead of leasing it I would have received A Dealer Discount a Toyota Incentive and would have been able to buy that car for around $32,500. When I tried to get Sparks Toyota to buy it from me that Mr. Ben Brown he would give me $28,000 for this 6 week old lease which he said was fair market value , believe it or not after 6 weeks. Mr. Brown said he couldn't give the $29,831 needed to buy the car from the leasing company. Mr. Brown said they buy the same car I had, from the manufacturer for $31,500. Along with my $7,000 down payment bring the cost to me at $36,831. Now take that $31,500 dealer cost away from the $36,195 it sold for to the leasing company and they made approximately$4,695 profit plus all the other incentives they receive from the manufacturer. You know I never care about how much profit they make as long as they are honest about it and I am in agreement with it. Being they said they had my best interest in making a better deal for me was an outright "Unfair and Deceitful Trade Practice Act" that they did to me. They maximized their profit on this car by convincing me the lease was a better way for me to go. Just imagine when they found out how much money over my pay off figure they had to return to me. They sure as heck were more interested in making more profit for themselves instead of it being in my best interest. In doing some research months later I looked up several different Makes and models of cars to find out that a car with a similar MSRP as the one I leased required $2500-2900 Down payment with a $259-279 a monthly payments.
