Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Unethical and unprofessional behavior against me includes:
-They told me they accept my coverage but after doing service they denied that!
-I explained to them that I had X-ray several times during last six months but they exposed me to unnecessary X-ray. Now I need to investigate about probable damages.
-They refused to respond to my complaint and send me the bill. I have paid $50 with my discount card for the same service and they sent me $337 bill!"

  • 1) Do you have insurance or a discount card? What is the name of it? e.g. AARP card, GoodRX coupon, XYZ dental insurance.

    2) Have you contacted the insurance company / card issuer? Did they refer you to Shoreline Periodontics? Was Shoreline on a list of covered providers?

    3) Did you take your previous X-rays with you, or give Shoreline Periodontics contact info for your previous dentist so that they could obtain your x-rays? Most offices can send and receive X-rays via email now. I don't think a periodontist can work well without a reasonably current X-ray, but maybe one of the dentists on this site can comment about that.

    4) What is an X-ray damage investigation? Do you have a receipt?

    Just a comment: it's very reasonable to challenge a bill that you believe is unfair but you'd have a much better chance of settling this if you didn't ask for so much.  The actual overage you believe you paid is $287 but you're asking for $7,212.98?
