Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I took my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck to Sandy Auto Service at 2900 N Portland OKC in August 2016. I first took it to Jose Transmission shop at SW 29 & Western because it wasn't shifting gears, they checked it out and referred me to this Sandy Auto Service. Upon arriving, I asked how much they would charge for their service. Philip (the owner) told me somewhere between $500.00 up to $1000.00 dollars depending on what is wrong. What was wrong it was not shifting gears and had caused the check engine light to come on. They had my truck for over a month, this is a truck that I use in my Business. I specifically told Phillip that I could not afford over $1000.00 dollars for repairs or he was to call me. He called, but not to say the bill was over $1000.00. They charged me $95.00 per hour for over 6 hours of diagnosis, changed the transmission fluid (I had already had that done a week before), replaced a couple of silanoids in the bottom of the transmission while changing the fluid, then charged me for fluid additives and brake fluid cleaner and other shop acc. The total bill came to almost $1400.00, and they did NOT fix the problem. They charge for every thing, every time they walked by the truck, they added another charge. I had to take the truck to another transmission shop that a friend referred me to, and they fixed the truck for under $300.00. This transmission shop told me they did not have the stomach to charge people like Sandy Auto Service. I will NEVER go back Sandy Auto Service, nor would I recommend them to anyone."
