Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF261BEAEBC/AA, that is having the same problems as all of the others I have read about. It is leaking water all over my floor, not staying cold causing food to spoil, and now it is making a loud grinding sound. The inside of it stays very wet and the metal bar that run vertically in the back of the fridge that the shelves hook onto is rusted out. Also, there is about ½ to 1 gal of water that stands under my meat tray, basically in the bottom of the fridge.

I purchased this fridge in May 2012 from Best Buy and have had a repairman out 3 times. The last time he installed a repair kit that Samsung put out but it didn’t fix a thing. I finally called Samsung and was told they could send a repairman out but if they cannot prove a manufacturer defect that I would be responsible for the bill. I had already had a repairman out 3 times and didn’t want to pay for a fourth service call, especially after reading all of the comments online. It seems no one has had luck in repairing these refrigerators.

I cannot believe that Samsung will not take care of thousands of customers who purchased these defective appliances. I for one will NEVER purchase another Samsung product and I bet the others affected by this won't either. With customer service like this Samsung should be out of business soon! I wonder how they keep their employees with all of the disgruntled customers! Certainly the retail stores are tired of all the complaints. I cannot believe they still carry these substandard applicances in their stores!"
