Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Paid my monthly rental fee on Sept. 30, 2018, on time, via check, $706.29, same amount for almost a year. On 10-1-18, received a call from a male who said he was with Public Storage and he said I owed an additional $80.00 as the rates had gone up. I told him I had not been notified. Had I been I would have moved out. He said it didn't matter, it was due and he wanted it paid "right now." Told him he'd have to wait and he hung up.
On Oct. 7 2018 I tried to enter the lot to go to my unit and my entry code did not work, denying me entry, and it has not worked since. When I inquired at the Office I was told if I did not pay the additional amount, they would seize my property.
I have tried calling the 800 # provided, but no one answers.
Today, Oct. 9, I received an email telling me I now owe $235.00. Sent them an email disputing the amount but Public Storage has not responded."
