Claimant says:
"I booked a hotestivael room through priceline for a seafoodfood festival coming up in oct in cedar key fl. priceline wed page stated that there were 5 rooms left for that date so i gave them the info they requested and printed out from my computer. Went to cedar key on wed 18 my friend from my job to locate where I'm supposed to stay and I talked to the lady on duty at the desk and told her what I was doing and showed her the comformation sheet and she was looking at the computer and never said one word about there not being any rooms for the dates I requested. After I came home there was a message from one of my other coworkers saying to call priceline about my hotel reservations in oct. I called and the gentleman told me then that were no rooms through priceline available for the price they quoted of 139.00] for 2 nights I requested but I could get a room through cedar cove and yacht club hotel for 300.00. Why should I have to pay anything at this point? It's not my fault that priceline or the hotel did not up date their web site because priceline overbooked and did not let the hotel know that all their rooms they had were all booked. The problem I have with the hotel is why did they say so when I went there and my problem with priceline is that is false avertisement and the last time i checked that is a crime . All priceline wanted to do is they offered to reimburse me some of my money back. Why should I have to pay anything for their false advertisement and the hotel needs to take a part in this as well allison browning"
