Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I recently purchased a stereo from this company (4-20-12) I returned for an upgrade because the original installation looked very bad, the stereo stuck out about 5 inches from the the dash board, I asked for a stereo that would not stick out as much and I settled for a Kenwood KDC-X796 HD radio unit, the store supposed has given me the privilege of not charging me a restocking fee and or another installation fee, all I was to pay is the difference in price which is $207.00 the original price is $299.00. I recently discovered that the same unit is advertised on there website for $220.00, so I returned today (4-23-12) to ask why I was charged $299.00 and not $220.00, the sales person Jason answered by telling me that the website is under construction and those prices were just for reference by there website builder and do not really reflect actual prices, yet it is an advertised price for in store purchase only, which I originally did, purchased in store.
I was not really satisfied with his reason so I left and asked a friend of mine to call the store and ask as if he was interested in purchasing the same unit I purchased, he called and asked about the website price and the person confirmed that would be the correct price and added that it would cost $45.00 for installation.
I am not very happy with the over all customer service and quality of work and I will probably not recommend any further business their way, I would like to treated fair and not be given a run around. I have been back there 3 times since the original install of the components ( 4-6-12) and I feel ripped off every time I walk out of there.
I would like to have the difference in price refunded to me and be done with them, I tried to settle it myself and I feel as if it got me nowhere can you help me in this matter?
