Claimant says:
"Contract signed by Marilu & Sallie Bailey 6/12/18 with deposit of $3,500, with a balance of $8,371 due on completion. Contract states an approximate starting date of 4-6 weeks.
Dennis Bailey , brother, found out about contract early in July. Left message on 7/6/18 with Pitzulo Brothers requesting a call back. Dennis talked to Joseph Pitzulo Sr. on 7/9/and explained that the house roof was not a problem. Stated that Marilu Bailey, has had a stroke, and she signed this contract impulsively. Joe Pitzulo Sr., said materials were already ordered and wanted to schedule. Dennis stated he thought the main house roof was fine and that only porch & garage roof needed done and to hold off work. Reviewed Pitzulo Brothers BBB rating of A+ and called another contractor to inspect the roof. Mike Farren inspected and agreed, house roof did not need replaced at this time. Then, Pitzulo Brothers Company called Marilu & Sallie and stated they wanted to schedule.
7/27/18, Dennis, called Joseph Pitzulo Sr., Joseph, was driving so said he couldn't talk. Someone, from his office called and set up a meeting at 400 S. High St. Zelienople for Joe Jr. to meet about the roof and contract on August 1. Pitzulo Brother's office postponed August 1 meeting since Joe Jr. would be out of town and set up a meeting for 8/7 at noon. Dennis took off work and arrived at 400 S. High St. Zelienople at 11:30 am on 8/7. By 12:30, no one from Pitzulo Brothers showed. Dennis called at 12:30 and the person said they were the answering service. Stated they had called and left message to cancel the meeting. Dennis, Marilu and Sallie checked their phones there were no voicemails from the company or calls on any of their recent call list. Dennis stated he needed a call from Joe Pitzulo or an immediate refund. As of 8/8/18 no calls were received."
