Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I went to the shop with my car to have a fan belt changed on 8/23/2012 and after the belt was changed one week the aluumn hose started to leak. Had it checked out by a mechanic, the hose line had been bent against another line so when i drove the car friction on the line caused a hole in the r34 line causing all the r34 to leak out. taken car back to shop they refused to solve the problem. They said that would not fix the hose. Flat refused to do any thing, told me to sue them."

  • As having quite a bit of knowledge about mechanics, that IS completely horrid business practice to refuse to fix the line. Whether or not they caused it, the offensive party still has a job to do, if you are a paying customer then by all means there is no reason that the party should have refused to fix the line. From dealing with mechanics that were completely defiant as you have stated these people are, I would take some sort of legal action even if it was small. I'm not positive if small claims court would handle this case because I do not know the amount at hand here, but it would be worth a try.
