Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My name is Mattie Triplett and i live at 2012 Stone Coal Rd. Garrett Ky. 41630.I have recently taken control of the financial situation in my home.I found that a loan was taken out on April 19th of this year for $400 and deposited in this bank account from the said above. The problem is this loan was supposively taken out by my husband Terry Triplett.I asked him about this, but he said he doesn't remember anything of this.I looked at our bank statements and i found where the money was deposited but i also found where six payments were taken out of this account totaling $650 to pay on this loan.Terry is on disability social security for dimentia and here in the last few months it has gotten progressively worse. He doesn't remember doing the loan and i know i never seen any papers come in the mail for him to sign.My complant is,how much is enough?Terry is not responsible for his thinking now,you take a man that has been a vol. fireman for many years to go to start a fire truck and he litterally forgot how to,how would he know how to filled out a loan application and understand the wording?I have been checking our e-mails and i found some correspondences from this co. and i don't under it and i don't think that i have dimentia! This co. should have done a check on us.They would have found our situation. We are in a debt resolution for credit card debt and we are possibly facing bankruptcy,so why in the world would they loan money to people like that, but i guess when you expect someone to let you keep taking money for something that has been paid for and plus, you take a chance.Well the buck stops here!Maybe this complant will help other people who get this on their minds, don't do it.I hope you can help us in this matter,Terry's dimentia is really bad and i'm worried it may lead to alshiemers (spelled wrong)disease.I worry so much about him,we have been married for 40yrs.Please help in wht ever way you can,i would call these people but i get angry when the little man gets taken advantage of,besides they wouldn't want to talk to me, the loan is in Terry's name and he doesn't remember a thing.I look at it this way, they got their money plus $250."
