This customer had an issue pertaining to a pre-owned vehicle purchased from us over a year ago which was not under warranty, however we did perform the repairs at no charge for customer goodwill. The repairs did take unusually long because we needed prior authorization from GM before we could complete the repair as a goodwill. The vehicle was returned to the customer and a week later he contacted me requesting compensation of $786 and that "All Would Be Forgiven" and he would not pursue the matter legally as he did with another retailer. We in turn offered him $420 to compensate for the time he was without a vehicle. He rejected our offer. We here at Paramus Chevrolet pride ourselves on going the extra mile to satisfy our customers and in this case we certainly feel we went beyond the reasonable expectation to remedy this customer's dissatisfaction.
General manager of Paramus Chevrolet Dennis F. Adams is misrepresenting the facts. This $40,000 certified pre-owned car was still covered by the bumper to bumper warranty it came with. The warranty expiration date was 10/21/11 as per my Monthly Onstar update e-mail documented. I originally brought the car in for interior creaking problems on 9/26/11, and they replaced the roof handles. The excessive interior creaking persisted, which I now was able to identify as coming from the driver door, so on 10/20/11 I brought the car back in to be fixed. If goodwill was to be offered it should have been at minimum by providing me with a loaner car to use and by compensating me for the expenses I incurred during the 46 DAYS they had my car. I could have asked for additional compensation for the huge inconvenience and stress that this has caused me. It's Paramus Chevrolet's fault for poorly inspecting this car during the certification process. If you Mr Adams don't wish to settle this matter, my next response will describe all the other problems this car had when I first purchased the car on 10/2/10 which will prove just how poorly Paramus Chevrolet inspects their cars they claim to be certified. I would like the public reading these posts to know more about Paramus Chevrolet.
WARNING! To readers of these posts: PARAMUS CHEVROLET / AUTOMALL isn't the dealership you should consider if you want to purchase a Chevrolet. Being these posts are going to be made public for all to read in 2 days, I thought it necessary for me to provide more details as to why potential customers of PARAMUS CHEVROLET should look elsewhere. My experience was with the purchase of a so called "GM Certified Used Vehicle" Chevrolet's literature states for GM Certified Used Vehicles that, "We check it, so you don't have to" And that they perform, "Rigorous standards" "Glass is checked" Through my experience I believe those statements as performed by PARAMUS CHEVROLET to be fraudulent. Here's why... We purchased the car on 10/2/10, and after we brought the car home I discovered the navigation disc and front license plate frame were not in the car. Soon after, I then discovered the glove box lever was the wrong color and its lock assembly was missing! I brought the car in, but they ordered the wrong lock! So I had to bring it back a week later! I was told I would be notified when the new license plates would be ready. I never was! The temporary plate expired and I had to go get them. Soon after, I was driving into direct sunlight and my vision was impaired by reflections or refractions of very bright light coming off of the windshield. I thought the windshield just needed cleaning, so I hand washed the whole car. While drying the windshield I discovered many little nicks all over the glass! I drove the car at night and when oncoming headlights hit my windshield it was like many little stars of light and very distracting! In contrast, my 28 year old Supra only had a couple of windshield nicks! Even though their literature states that, "We check it, so you don't have to" That they perform, "Rigorous standards" And that, "Glass is checked"; PARAMUS CHEVROLET refused to replace the windshield! Contacting General Motors for assistance was a waste of time. So maybe buying a GM product isn't the best way to spend your money. Readers, you are now warned not to purchase anything from PARAMUS CHEVROLET / AUTOMALL!!! Where attention to detail doesn't exist!

UPDATE... So, It has been quite a while since I first contacted the General Manager of PARAMUS CHEVROLET DENNIS ADAMS to attempt to settle this complaint. Since then I contacted the owner of PARAMUS CHEVROLET STEVE BARNA. I faxed him a letter twice, mailed it to him, and faxed him a third time. I received no response at all from MR BARNA, or any of his representatives. Does this really sound like a dealership you want to buy a car from? This is how PARAMUS CHEVROLET treats its customers post sale. On their website it states,"At PARAMUS CHEVROLET it is our goal to make your life easier when it comes to your automotive needs!" In our experience that statement couldn't be farther from the truth! We have filed our complaint with the BBB and Consumer Affairs. We are requesting $1,000.00 to settle this matter. If we don't get any results from the BBB and Consumer Affairs mediation services we will be filing a lawsuit against PARAMUS CHEVROLET. We will be claiming three separate consumer frauds that they violated, and that awards triple damages. DENNIS ADAMS and STEVE BARNA could have settled this a long time ago, but I guess they would rather lose my family and friends as customers, receive all this bad publicity, go to court and have a courtroom of potential customers hear their poor business practices, and in the end they'll be paying lawyers fees and us much much more than if they simply paid us our expenses that we incurred due to the 46 days they took to fix our creaking door! Really smart...

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win. Note: Cash rewards may be split among more than one person if settlement depends on ideas from more than one contributor. If you have a claim of your own to resolve, click here.
