Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Car wash attendant broke inside, driver side door handle. Car was to be sold following morning. Manager/owner refused to acknowledge damage done to car, and in fact accused me of lying saying handle was already broken. To better resolve issue, I asked for part to simply be returned to me so I could attempt to have repaired prior to sale of car, again was flatly denied, called a liar in the presence of many other customers, and accused of attempting to get a free car wash when I insisted on my money paid for wash be returned. Police were called; they too made same request to return broken part, they too were denied. Police informed me of rights to sue; acknowledged they are often called to this business for similar reasons. All while this was happening, yet another altercation was occurring with another angry customer whose car had been damaged. Reported business to Consumer Complaint Agency for tiny monetary compensation and an apology; business did not reply by due date. Needless to say, car did not get sold the following morning; posted asking price was $14,700. Still can not post sale for car until handle is repaired. Part is difficult to obtain & has to come from Germany. This event happened on 10/4/13; since then I have not been able to show car. The owner was completely dismissive to my legitimate complaint, not to mention the embarrassment & humiliation I suffered being accused of lying & trying to get a car wash for free. Just doesn't make sense; the car was pretty much sold; had a very excited buyer that loved the car that drove over 50 miles! Why on earth, if handle was already broken, as accused by owner would I be at a car wash when I should have been at a car repair center getting handle fixed!!!???"

  • I also had a problem at this car wash. Got my car back missing its front grill. I didn't notice until I got home. Thought it just fell off then thought about the car wash. I went back to see if maybe it fell off there and it did. They went into the trash bin to get my grill and give it back to me but only after I had to insist they look for it. They went straight to the trash bin!!! Another time after a car wash I noticed my gps was missing from my glove box. I didn't pursue issue because it was the next morning I noticed it missing, but had used it the day before and only made a stop at the car wash before going home for the rest of the day. Didn't feel like I could prove the theft because I didn't realize until a day later. I stopped giving these people my money after the front grill went missing. Couldn't understand why they just didn't inform me about the grill and give it back to me on the spot. These people just don't want to take responsibility but will take your money then turn their back on you as though you are a worthless human being. They should be put out of business. I really agree with this claimant because I also have witnessed many, many times arguments between the owner and his wife with unsatisfied customers. Sometimes it seemed the arguments were going to come to a blow because the customer was made so mad because of the demeaning attitude the owner and his wife showed not even considering a good resolution to whatever the problem was. I wish this claimant success. Glad to see someone standing up against this carwash. I think it is a common business practice to blow off people's complaints because they simply get away with it. And amen, these people show daily they do not have respect for the community they service and that's why their service is even less than standard. Do not give these people your hard earned money. There are plenty of other carwashes that will appreciate your business and treat you with respect and responsibility. Good Luck to the claimant.

  • I strongly disagree with PeolplesClaim rating of "A". If this were a legitimate means to help those in need, then they would have done just some simple research and would have found a poor rating from the BBB, and they would have found the CCA has issued a stern warning to avoid doing business with this establishment, in addition, a negative designation due to lack of timely response and officially censured by CCA; yet this unresolved claim I have filed here gets a "A" rating. This is exactly the kind of advocacy I don't need....thanks for nothing!!!
