Claimant says:
"I came into Presbyterian Hospital Matthews, NC (Novant Health) on December 15th 2015. I had fractured my humerous and shattered all the bone in my right arm beneath the muscle. The break was so blunt it affected the blood flow to the bone, however no MRI was done that night. The doctor kept telling me I needed surgery right now, right then. Emergency surgery. He said they didn't have an orthopedic doctor on call. This is a major hospital. I asked the medical records persons if they have an on call orthopedic doctor everyday and they said they do. 24 hours, everyday. He discharged me and told me to go to an orthopedist the next day. I then went to Orthocarolina and was told I should heal fine and was put in a sling for 4 weeks. I now have vascular necrosis and need a total shoulder replacement surgery. My humeral head bone is dead. I will be disabled the rest of my life. I consider the hospital and the doctor to be medically neglegent and as a result, I will be disabled with limited movement in my arm and more surgeries"
