Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I bought a GMC Acadia from Northwest Motorsport in March 2016. The day of the purchase I asked one of the mechanics about a ticking noise in the engine. I was told that it was a sensor and the ball in the sensor was loose and that was the noise. I asked if there was an oil change because the information system stated that the oil life was at 60 percent. I also asked if the brakes had been done because the steering wheel would shake whenever i had to brake.. I was told that there was an oil change and that they forgot to reset the button in the vehicle. I was also told that the brakes were brand new and that since the truck had been sitting there was dust on the brakes. I took the truck to a mechanic and am being told that the brakes need to be changed, the rotors are not only warped but they are also rusted, the oil is black and needs to be changed, the brake fluid needs to be flushed, and that the ticking in the engine is a lift. Also, the passenger windows will not go up, once rolled down, with the same switch they need to be rolled up from driver side. And also the bottom of the truck is rusted very bad. I spoke with a manager name Freddie at Northwest Motorsport he told me he would call me back and did not call back. I left him 2 messages and he never returned the call. I spoke with the receptionist and she told me to speak with Dave in the service department. When I spoke with Dave I explained to him what was going on and his response was "Well dont you have a warranty?". I told him that the warranty will not cover routine maintenance and that I dont feel I should have to pay over $800 to get these things fixed. He responded by saying, "Why should I have to pay it?" I have not been able to get any cooperation."
