Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On September 12, 2014, I purchased a net10 wireless cell phone. Along with the appropriate airtime phone card. So that I could add service to my new phone. The phone itself was on sale for $9 dollars and the card for the service was $35 dollars. The service card I choose to purchase, was for unlimited nation wide talk and text.

So I followed the instructions to correctly activate the phone as directed. Once I was done, I proceeded to add the $35 service card. My display screen did show, that the phone had accepted my payment of $35 dollars. But I was also being shown that the phone had no service. Thinking that something was wrong, I decided to call their customer service line and things went from bad to worse.

I spent roughly 3 hours on the phone getting the run around. None of my questions were answered and none of my concerns were addressed. Almost every single person I spoke with had such a thick over seas accent. So communication was not the best. It was really hard to understand anyone I spoke with. I constantly had to keep asking them to repeat themselves. Finally, they had transferred me to another representative who suggested that I'd wait 24 hours for the phone to fully activate. Feeling frustrated, I accepted the (unknown) waiting process.

On September 13, 2014, the phone had still not activated yet. So again I called their customer service line and spent another 3+ hours trying to get help. But once again I was transferred around to different departments. With each person I spoke to, I was being told something different then what the last person said. At one point, I even begged for help in tears.

In a nutshell, Net10 is refusing to provide service to my new phone. Yet they processed a $35 dollar payment on the phone. This has me completely frustrated and aggravated. So now I've decided to cancel the service all together. I was being lied to, confused and had already spent way to much time dealing with activating a phone. This service was the worst I had experienced in my whole life. And I still have more questions then answers.

Net10 is not providing me a phone service yet they took my $35 dollars. Some of their representatives told me that my money can be reimbursed in 30 days, while others tried to push more products on me. Some representatives told me to fax a copy of the service card I purchased, along with a copy of the receipt. But some told me that it had to be mailed not faxed. Two different representatives gave me 2 different address. And some told me that they will not give me my money back at all. I believe important information is not being disclosed. Net10 has raised my blood pressure so high that it literally caused me to have an anxiety attack while I was on the phone with them.

This experience makes me feel like I've been robbed by net10 and I'm still unsure about what step I should take next to get my money back. If I can not get help from someone then, I will have no other choice but to file a police report and contact a lawyer. I'd rather not go that way though. I just want my money back with a little compensation for the aggravation they have put me through, these past couple days."
