"Huntsville/ Madison county Branch of the NAACP .,president and administration don't take the job seriously, the reason I say this the president have a full time job at the county commissioner office which I think is a conflict of interest, I don't think you can separate the two, constituents make complaints to the president of the NAACP against the commissioner, how can the president implement that complaint against her employer some employee's or afraid to make a complaint, because of the NAACP president and the county commissioner relationship.

I have written to the State president of the NAACP, nothing happen, also written to the National NAACP they ignored this situation, this is my only alternative.We have never had a financial audit of that branch since I have been active in the year of 2007, per bylaw state one audit must done each year."

  • The president, Alice Sams of the Huntsville/ Madison NAACP, should step down from her position as president of the Huntsville/ Madiso County NAACP and or resign from this position, as she work for the county commissioner, as a full time employee which is in conflict with the NAACP policy. In other words how would the president of the NAACP handle a complaint against the commissioner to the NAACP if another employee work for the commissioner, which we have had and the complative never heard anything from the president Alice Sams

  • The NAACP will purchase some office supplies and get final results of audit. President will not step down. This is an elected position which met the requirements of the Constitution and By-laws of Units of the NAACP. There is no stipulation where an officer can work, this is a volunteer position.

  • The Huntsville/ Madison County NAACP Branch, had a so call election in Novenver of 2014. The same practice are still in place.
    No Yearly audit,a Must (per ) Bylaw and report
    President / Executive Committee not involved in State and National NAACP. Do not attending any funtions/ Conventions , State and Natiional, or send any delegates required by the Consititution
    Not Paying Assesment required by the State and National NAACP
    Branch always out of complance
    Finance report never itemized
    Not any committee, in place, required to have atlease 6 main committee. ( per) Condtitution- Bylaws

    And finally ,yes, we are a volunteer organization, but you do have to take the oath of office and swear by the Consitition and Bylaws.
