Claimant says:
"I signed up with Monitronics security in 2008 for my home security. I recently found out that Vivint started my home security in 2011 after my contract expired with Monitronics. Vivint led me to believe that they were Monitronics and came to my home to install updated equipment. So Vivint came in my home under false pretenses and Monitronics kept billing my checking account knowing that they did not have equipment in my home to monitor my home. I called a person name Sharee from Monitronics September 17, 2015 to cancel my service. I been calling Monitronics since July 2015 to cancel the service and they refused. In September 2015 I stopped automatic electronic payments from my checking account to Monitronics and Vivint. Both companies refused to cancel the service. Sharee from Monitronics said that I got "Slammed" but still refused to cancel the service and both companies kept sending bills to my house after the cancelation of payments from my bank checking account. I do not know what's happening to businesses in this market place. Monitronics need to provide me a refund of $49 a month from 2012, 2013, 2014, and up to August in 2015. I pulled the equipment out of the wall to stopped them from providing service so Monitronics did not have a home to monitor. Monitronics stated that they did not have equipment in my house and unable to answer how they were supposed to be monitoring my home without equipment. Vivint has stopped calling me since the contact from BBB. I did not have Monitronic information and did not provide it the first time with the report.
