"In 2009 a metal roof was installed on my home with a lifetime product guarantee. This roof is leaking and has been doing so for some time to cause water problems in my attic. The Oct. hurricane and its volume of rain water caused this water leakage to show water stains on the second floor ceilings of my house. An evaluation by a repairman stated that the problem is caused by improper installation:. The fasteners have corroded and disintegrated and this is where the water is leaking into my attic.
I have phoned you many many times since discovering the problem November 14 and you refuse to return my calls.
I thought your family business was a reliable, honest one. Your behavior proves me wrong! I just want my roof fixed and you should stand behind your contract."

  • Every time it rains, I get water into my attic: I need to have this problem repaired ASAP. A personal legal action would take too long and is not affordable for me as a retired owner on limited income. My homeowners insurance will not pay anything because the problem is caused by bad installation procedure, not storm damage.. So, I am out of pocket for $4,000, which it will cost to replace the 500 fasteners on my roof. The fasteners should NEVER been exposed and to make the problem even worse, stainless steel screws were not used! Of course, the ones Mid Carolina used have rusted almost completely away! I have had 2 local roofers look at the problem and they agree that I need to fix the problem ASAP! Shame on Mid Carolina for such faulty installation work and ignoring me.
