Claimant says:
"Max Travel sold us a travel package where we could book vacations through them at discount. They assured us that we could book through their website and that they had an abundance of properties available. This turned out to not be true as when we went to the website it showed nothing available for our desired travel dates. When confronted with this we were informed that we had to call to find out what was available. When I told them that was not what we signed up for and we wanted a refund, I was told by an accociate that they would comply. I was informed a few days later by "the manager" there would be no refund because that was company policy. They refuse to resond to us in any way. This is total fraud. I know of no legitimate business that would refuse a refund to dissatisfied costomers. If we were not misled by the company reps who sold us this plan, we would never have signed up for it."

  • I have a few questions in regards to the travel package that you purchased. Is this some form of timeshare vacation package? Have you received any form of disclosure package or contract from the company in regards to the package that you purchased? Usually, cancellations of contracts such as these are done via certified letter requesting cancellation, however, you may want to also speak to an attorney about this package you purchased. South Carolina has certain laws that protect consumers that purchase vacation packages or timeshares, and you want to make sure you are fully aware of your rights and remedies available to you.
