Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have been trying to get off the mailing list for magazines from Marketing Unlimited for a long time.

I do receive magazines from one company, now I pay them $49.90 per month. Then I receive a call from Marketing Unlimited trying to lower my payment for my magazines and they say it will be $16.60 and some change to lower my payments since I'm a good customer of theirs. I ask how much am I paying for my magazines and they say $49.98 I do not hear the .98 Cents part all I hear is .90 Cents. Then they tell me to give them my bank card number to them. I say you already have it if you are trying to lower my payments. They keep after me about some thing that I do not understand so I give me bank card # to them. They tell me I have 30 days to cancel the whole thing. So I get off the phone and do some math to find out how much they want from me, that is when I find out that if they are not lowering my payments for 16.66 for thee months it comes out to be $49.98. That is not lowering my payments at all. I do not have a phone number to call back on it to cancel the whole thing.

When I get my bank statment I get a phone # to call back to cancel the whole mess. So on 7/4/12 they take out $49.98 and on 7/6/12 they give back the 49.98 but on that same day they take it out again the $49.98.

I recieved a letter on Aug. 6, 12 stating that I need to pay all of the money which is $1149.54 Due Date NOW.

I don't have that kind of money at all S.S.D. does not pay me that kind of money. It will take for ever for me to pay it off. I have been trying to get out of this mess all by myself. I need help to get this taken care of. I'm having a hard time to put food on my table of one.

Please help me out of this mess.

  • I use to work for marketing unlimited and i think they are such a rip off i felt so bad calling all the people that had no idea what i was even talking about and trying to convince them to buy something they had no interest in in the first place. im so glad i stopped working for them when i did. i wasnt cut out for conning people into useless scams. and im sorry that you are having to deal with the run around from them.
