Claimant says:
"My Partner and I (African American senior citizens) have been harassed and stalked for the last four years by the HOA - to the extent that we left our home thinking that over time the harassment and stalking would stop. Well, it has not stop and the association has taken to threatening to take our property through foreclosing on us because we refuse to pay HOA fees in the last year and half. Of course, I called the Lender and they stated that they (HOA) could put a lien on the property but they could not foreclose - we have a reverse mortgage on the property. There have been two incidents of theft to our utilities (Electric) in the past year with our Power bill going from $12 to $271 and we have not lived there for last six months. There was tampering with our mail; compliance with the abduction of my partner so that I would abandon the condo. Because my partner/friend has dementia she did not understand why and what was going on when she was abducted - thinking that she just wanted to get away from the harassment. At this time we are going to return to our home and hope that we can live peacefully and the harassment will stop and the attempts to scam us out of our property will end."
