Claimant says:
"I had this company install a Trane heatpump system and ductwork in June of 2008. Apparantly one of the workers pushed the ceiling sheet rock in the living room away from the ceiling joists as they were building the platform for air handling. this caused the ceiling to bulge slightly but not enough to be noticeable. The ceiling continued to bulge from the weight until it reached a weak point (the opening for the cieling fan) and it began to crack. It took approximately 18 months to do this. I thought I could fix this problem but the ceiling continued to crack until the crack was totally across the ceiling. I called Knight Topline to let them know and they did not respond except to say I would have to prove that their men did the damage. I had the ceiling replaced for $1259.84. At first I thought that too much time had passed to let the installer know about my problem. But the more I thought about it the more irritated I got because his men had to know what they did and did not tell me or the owner. His response to me was totally inadequate, unacceptable, irresponsible and childish. I think the least he could have done was to come look at my ceiling. I will continue to try to get some resolution if only to let others know to beware of this incompetent crook."
