Claimant says:
"We purchased a new 2008 Kawasaki UTV model # KRF750C8F SEIRAL # JKARFDC118B503760 Color Sunbeam Red from Kearney Yamaha in Kearney, Nebraska on 7/10/2008. We purchased it for $10,599.00 plus $300.00 for freight. We traded in a 1996 Kawasaki ATV serial #JKALFKB14TB526227 for a value of $1800. Total cash paid for Teryx was $9199.00....... The fact of the matter is it worked okay the first summer we had it and we irrigated with it that year. The beginning of the sumer of 2009.... Our son was driving it up in the pasture to check cattle and the motor started to make a terrible noise and smoke and smell bad! I called Kearney Yamaha to make an appointment to get it fixed. They said they had had lots of trouble with the 2008 Teryxs but ours was no longer under warranty and they would not do anything about it. My husband then did go up to the store and talk to them about it but they were rude and didn't care about our situation. They said there was nothing they could do about our machine. We then took it to a motor mechanic who looked at it and said he could do nothing about it but he did know a man who was buying them from across the nation for about $1500 a piece. He had come up with a way to make them run. That was a big loss for us and we couldn't justify that. Then our seven year old grandson was diagnoised with a cancerous brain tumor and eventually died. We just put our ATV in the back of our shed..... and didn't think about it. We didn't even try to drive it the summers of 2010 & 2011..... We had other things to deal with. Now we are ready to get to the bottom of this but Kearney Yamaha doesn't want to help. We have a lot of money invested in this machine to have it just sit and not run at all. Please help us get Kawasaki to make this right with us!"
