Claimant says:
"Joe Dunbar Auto Paint , 816 E Grand Ave Fox Lake Il, took $2000 over the period of a year to repair the heads on my 1995 Ford Taurus. Parts receipts were requested and promised, not delivered. I finally tracked down the car, and the last two mechanics Dunbar had given it to. I have their signed statements that they never worked on the car, and never would until Dunbar paid his debts. In addition, I loaned Dunbar two DeLonghi portable air conditioners so he could work in his hot storage-locker/shop in July, and he could not even show up at his shop to let me retrieve them until yesterday, six months later. This indicates his level of commitment and honesty. Dunbar took the money, spent it, then tried to trade bad paint work to mechanics he already owed. He complains that he has been taken advantage of, and threatens me when I ask for my money. I want $2000 back immediately, or will look into small claims court."

  • Hate to tell you but you will never see a dime from Mr Dunbar. I myself, am trying to collect over $40,000.00 in back child support from this deadbeat. If he doesn't have enough dignity to provide for his child he certainly won't care about repaying you. Taking him to court would only be throwing good money after bad for he doesn't own a damn thing. Getting a judgment is only one part of the process...collecting on it is a whole other game. Best of luck to you.
