Claimant says:
"I began working for JOB 1 USA Security in 2016.I was a dedicated worker I really enjoyed my job everything was fine until 01/28/17 when my wife and daughter got into a car accident my was transported to the hospital. on that day I contacted my Supervisor Samuel Manzano 01/29/17 and informed him on what happened I expressed to him that I would keep him informed. I told him that my wife wasn't able to drive at this time so I had to pretty much do all the driving and he said ok I also expressed to him that there would be times when I would be absent or late due to the fact that my daughter's car was totaled in the accident which left us with 1 car and he said ok he had it covered. I also made available to Trish Duncan, Derek Chandler of the San Antonio Office the documents from the accident as well as the Therapy Sessions. not once did anyone of these individuals express to me that my job was in Jeopardy. well to make a long story short they terminated me and when I asked my Supervisor why he said because of absenteeism even though he knew why I was out, plus approved my being out. I also feel that I was retaliated against because I made the Supervisor aware of some things that the company were doing were illegal.Plus Equal employment rights violations."
