Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Brought my car in for repair in March and was told it would be repaired within 14 days. Took almost two months and I was told repeatedly by the staff that different problems were occurring. Was given the run around and checked in each week for status on my car while I was paying for rental vehicle. Ended up spending over a thousand on rental and am very displeased."

  • I DID NOT back into any neighbors car and NEVER SAID THAT!!~ I had coverage on the rental through my insurance and that was not your responsibility to fix. My neighbor brushed into my rental while intoxicated and I filed a police report. You guys should know that from talking to the rental company and not make up stories!! I am the one who paid you full deductible to get that car fixed in a timely manner. In the end you all know it took way too long and should have been honest and NOT said it would be fixed in 14 days. I don't care what you are feeling at this point it is not good business!!
    I was more then patient with you and you used my time by running into your business countless times to check on my vehicle and in the end I still had problems with the turn signals not working and then the bumper cover falling off - if you did quality work then why did these things happen? And don't say the cover falling off is my fault I have not run up on any curbs! This claim will go to a lawyer if necessary.

    Now I have new problem. Raised my hood to put washer fluid in my car and the plastic part at the top of the hood came off (have pictures). I went to the dealer and they said this would be 250.00 to replace. I AM NOT returning to Jimmies because I know they will deny it and probably reattach it wrong so it will come off again!! The dealer has already reattached the plastic part UNDER my car which fell down (again) after Jimmies reattached it. The dealer said the wrong pins were used. They were not long enough and the piece was hanging to low. I am now forced to get another estimate for this problem with the hood. Obviously this piece was NOT put on right or it wouldn't have come off. By the way this just occurred last Thursday (7/24/2014). I know my whole front area on the car will also have to be repainted. It is not finished and glossy it is a gritty finish which the dealer immediately noticed."

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "Whitney Kremer had a vehicle damaged in an automobile accident which was repaired at our facility and as a result of the accident she rented a vehicle for the duration of the repair. She did not have rental insurance on her policy and had to pay out of pocket. Given the repair time, the back order of parts and damage not seen by the insurance company at the time the estimate was written. We gave her $800.00 towards her rental even after it was returned damaged by her. She backed into a neighbors car and damaged the rear bumper of the rental car and told us it was no her problem subsequently cost us for the repair to be able to return it. We feel that she was treated fair and do not feel we have treated her unfairly. If anything she should be held responsible for the costs of the vehicle she damaged.   • Now that this is the 2nd response to this claim, I anticipate no further demands from the People Claim. Again we hold firm that the damage to the underneath was caused by in Ms. Kremer's own words " I am short and can not judge the curb distance therefore I run them over". I have answered complaints from numerous agencies and have responded to everyone. If she insists on slandering this company any further then we will have no choice but to file a counter suit for defamation of character. Again she damaged the rental vehicle by backing into her neighbor and brought the car back, left it here and stated it was not her problem. We are truly sorry that she doesn't feel as if she has been treated fairly. Any repairs that were made have a lifetime warranty and should be brought to this facility for purposes of said warranty.
