Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"my convertible top would only go half way back and I would have to manually put it down from that point. I took my car to Kim's auto it sat for a few months there before I asked them to just put it back together n I'd take to another shop. They put it back together but the top wouldn't even go halfway back at this point. So they asked me to leave it there for another week n they'd at least fix it to that point again. After that week he told me he had no idea what the problem was and he sent it to International Auto and Joe was going to take care of it. I asked about the cost Kim said all I have to pay for is the part for the top n he'd take care of the labor. After talking to Kim I drove to International Auto to speak with joe to confirm what Kim said about the labor being taken care of which he did. I also asked Joe if it would be better for me to order the parts I needed or let him do oddly enough he said it would be Better if I ordered it. So I did and it took a about 2-3weeks before the part arrived. As soon as I received the part I took it to Joe at International Auto. He said give him a week and my top would be as good as new. A week later I went to check and he hadn't touched my car and said he'd been so busy but he'd get to it the morning and it should be ready that afternoon. I called from work and they pit me on hold never to return to the phone. I called right back and never got an answer. So the next day i drove to the shop again same deal too busy n he'll have it ready by the end of the week this went on for a month or two. and the excuses varied from shop being broken into, he's the only person working, he keeps getting interrupted by phone calls and people stopping by like myself and him having to stop to explain why the delays, to bad weather, etc. I said ok how much time do you need he asked for a month I agreed not to bother him until the month was up and I didn't. After that month I could tell he took something's apart but still no results, and it's actually worse then when I took it to Kim's because the trunk wasn't opening, the driver side door wasn't locking, at some point they hit my car with another car I'm assuming because there is small white paint streaks on the rear area of the driver side, also the paint is fading from just sitting there in bird poop and dirt, and I couldn't even put the top down manually if I wanted to at this point. I asked Joe if he was in my shoes what would he do honest. He said I'd be just as pist as you and I'd take it somewhere else. I replied I plan on doing that as soon as you fix what you've messed up. Since then he still hasn't touched my car or given me an answer as to what he plans on doing, and when I call his response is he hasn't gotten to yet.."
