Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I was asked to co-sign for my grandaughter a car. My son tried but he had just bought a car for himself so he was turned down. The agreement was a $10,000 or less preowned auto. They had a ford fusion 2012 that they asked my son to leave a deposit for them to hold for her. The nest day they sent her a picture of another car that she didn't like. then they sent her a picture of another car. By this time my son was irritated. this is when they called me. They asked me to bring the last three months of my bank account. The guy named Carlos was telling me I was not approved. So I asked him what was he trying to finance. He said $12,000, so my son said no mom. You all can give me back my $250 dollars and we,ll go somewhere else. Carlos told me "you won,t get a car anywhere else". I said to him how can you tell me that with all of the auto places in Houston. I had preapplied at Southwest Nissan. They had called and sent me an e-mail saying I was approved. So the next day I took my granddaughter there. they had alittle chevy for the amount we wanted to pay. they had everything They didn't ask me for anything. They had everything ready to go. had the car washed and gassed up for her. We were almost ready to go after about 4 hours when the bank called and asked about my bank account. So I called and had the bank to send it over. They completed the paperwork . We signed everything and they had the car ready after her dad added her on his policy. When we were leaving the salesman asked, where did you all go before. My granddaughter said Texas direct auto. He said, they tried to sabotage you. I Iooked at my credit report on-line I had about 18 credit inquires. I want to know if this is legal. Today I have 23 inquires on my credit report in a week. I keep getting stacks of mail ever day. I never gave them authority to request credit from all of these people. And they did the same thing to my son.
