Claimant says:
"In Oct 2015 Home Adviser fraudulently took monies out of my credit card account and an upper mgr troubleshooter from Home Adviser investigated and agreed and all money was returned to me. My bank will agree. At the time and still now I was recovering from an operation and couldn't use Home Adviser but they put my to date unused account on hold until Jan 2016. I thought in the mean time I might discover exactly how they charge contractors as when asked they are extremely unclear. I called Home Adviser and canceled in Feb, 2016, as I was still ill and I receive a call from CMI a debt collector and still I have not used any leads from Home Adviser. I originally got involved with home adviser through an aggressive salesman whom said it only costs 285.00 per year. This was about the fourth or fifth call and I'm usually in my van traveling and cannot talk - so I pull over and said ok if its only 285.00. That's the last I heard from a person until October when they had taken over 3000.00 out of my account and I haven't used any leads, calling none. Well, Home Adviser mediator returned all the taken money from my account and now its started again - up to 500.00 and I still haven't called on any leads. I have talked with other contractors and they refuse to use Home Adviser."

  • as of 4/11/17 for all I know
    home adviser still has a collection bureau dunning me for some $500 when six months earlier they agreed they took money from me falsely and returned same. Now they are doing it again but since they don't have a credit card number they create a collections account with CDI.
