"To whom it may concern....
If you stay at a Holiday inn express you will be charged a $250 smoking fee in addition to the cost of your stay at Holiday Inn. You also may be accused of using drugs in your hotel room. To avoid these unfortunate circumstances choose one of the many other options when deciding where to stay when out of town."

  • 07-30-2011 — checked into hotel around 1pm.
  • 07-30-2011 — left hotel for lunch and concert around 130pm
  • 07-31-2011 — returned to hotel around 2am from concert.
  • 07-31-2011 — went to sleep around 230am
  • 07-31-2011 — woke up and checked out around 1230pm
  • 08-01-2011 — noticed a pending transaction in my account for $250 from holiday inn
  • 08-03-2011 — noticed the $250 charge cleared in my bank account the day prior.
  • 08-03-2011 — called holiday inn rancho cucamunga and found out that charge was for a smoking fee. which made me very angery
  • 08-03-2011 — called holiday inn's customer relations department and set up a claim
  • 08-05-2011 — received a call back from holiday inn and they accused me of having marijuana in the room which brought my boiling point to a peak. requested my $250 back about 20 times receiving a denial each time
