Claimant says:
"In June 2011 I had problems with my Jeep. I had chronic over heating and this problem caused damage to the heads. The cost to repair 1600.00. When this problem was happening the whole car would over heat so bad and it was making a roaring sound. Freedom Jeep repaired it. In January 2012 same problem, car overheating only this time the whole car would get burning hot; even the dash was so hot to touch. I took it back to Freedom for them to check it and they said it was another problem and the fan was gone out. The cost was 1200.00 but I was having financial problems so I gave them a payment of 500.00 down to start the repairs but because of the car payment and all other bills I could not pay until Feb.
I got the money together only to find out they gave my car to a towing company. They said they were not able to reach us by telephone, that they have the right to do this. Fine I paid them and the towing people to get my car back. Turn out to come to 1600.00 altogether. Now car still having overheating issues. Took it to have a diagnostic test to try and get to the basis of the problem. Went to an outside company and they found that the bearings in the fan were not performing right. They told me I need to take it back to Freedom Jeep because this what was the fan they put in and its still under warranty. Freedom Jeep has disputed their findings and told me I needed a new thermostat but they are not responsible for anything else so I'm still having problems even though I had the thermostat replaced and they claim they hear a funny sound near the water pump. I had a full diagnostic done on this car. My car still smell like its overheating and everyday I have to check my water level due to the fact it's always low and my fan keeps roaring up loudly sometimes. I just feel that what the people who did the diagnostic found might be right. I don't see freedom Jeep performing their diagnostic test to help resolved this issue. What can be done?"
