Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My husband was a patient there. The billing office called his room asking for money or a credit card. They insisted on speaking with him. When I went to their office a person(Lashell Bloodworth) identifying herself as the caller said this was hospital procedure. I told her this was WRONG. Patients should not be harassed. She stated again it was hospital procedure and directed me to the necessary department when I told her I wanted to register a complaint.
Since filing the complaint, we later had other issues. My husband spent 3 days in there but was coded an outpatient. This caused more expenses for us as our insurance refused to pay because of coding. We tried to have them resubmit the claim but nothing has been resolved and we are out money that the insurance would have paid if filed properly."
