Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On June 2010 I had a swelling knee due to a "gout crisis" and I was having difficulties to walk and move. I went to Emergency of the All Saints Hospital in Downtown Fort Worth.
I explain to the receptionist that I was looking for a doctor to remove the fluid from my knee, the receptionist took my information and asked me go to a room, when the nurse arrives she told me that they did not have a Orthopedic Doctor, so she released me but the administration officer was taking all my insurance information, so I asked the nurse to give me a writen statement indicating that I was not treated and she did it. I explain that to administration officer suspecting that they will charge me. Well the hospital did and I paid $150.00, however the physicians charged me $345.00 despite I sent the dispute with the explanation that no doctor really treat me. The case is with a collector company: Bay Area Credit Service LLC Account:8609140507.

  • Similar experience. I went to Doctor's Hospital in Dallas with a severe nosebleed. All they did was sit me in an exam room and pretty much ignore me for more than two hours. I stooped the bleeding myself. I saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes total. He looked up my nose once, and that was it. He did absolutely nothing, didn't even answer the questions I had. Emcare billed me for $970 for his services. When I called Emcare to say I wanted to contest the charge, the rep responded that I could fight it, but that they had more lawyers than me.

  • I have the same situation. I Went to a doctor. They treated me. The insurance company paid for them but with the discount, because they were part of some sort of discount network. They received a document saying that Patient is not responsible for the amount, all the disputes are to be claimed with Insurance Company. Still they have put it with collection service. I have no clue how to deal with all of this, because I am not outside of the US and I was just a temporary resident in the US, therefore I have no clue how should I resolve it.
