Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I had a freezer go out on me. The serviceman Mr. Grayson, stated it was the relay & overload. He was wrong, later he stated it was the compressor. He charged me $128.71 and my freezer is still not working. Mr. Grayson, stated later after several phone calls that it would cost me too much money to repair so he would only charge me for the service charge of $59.95, and cut a check for the difference to me. This was last Monday March 5, 2012, and now he doesn't answer my calls at all. I am disable and living on a fix income and Mr. Grayson just took advantage of the situation and then lied about putting a check in the mail as it he thinks this is a joke. This is business and I don't have any extra money to be giving away. It seems since he did not fix the problem I'm due back some of my money if not all of my money. On the receipt it states there is a 30 day warranty on repair and the freezer is not repaired. The date of repair was February 27, 2012. Please tell me what action can be taken and if I'm entitled to a full or partial refund. Thank you and have the best day that you can!"

  • The mail man will leave a slip when you receive a certified letter. No slip was ever put in my mailbox. Usually, we meet our mailman and he has not given me any certified mail to sign. My refrigerator is not completely off, Mr. Grayson, orderd the relay because of that, if the compressor was out the refrigerator would have been off, it wasn't, it just wasn't freezing which would not allow the refrigerator to not cool. The compressor is always hot just like a motor in a car! Also, I called Mr. Grayson the very next day because he told me to give the freezer 24 hours to cycle and I did, then he sent another tech out the day after that which was two days later. The bottom line is Mr. Grayson never sent a check to me. If that's true then resend the check perhaps to the correct address. What address did you send it too anyway? It wasn't mine.

  • I spoke to my mailman yesterday and he told me that if I had a certified letter to be signed he would have knocked on the door (there's a sign on my front door stating the doorbell doesn't work, pleas knock on door) for me to sign. He reminded me of some medicine he didn't leave last week because my husband and I were out and he came by after his route was finish (at 4p) and gave it to my husband. If there had ever been a certified letter sent to my address my mailman would have left a slip letting me know.
