Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I made a transaction with a eBay seller for 3 iphone 5s for the amount of 1350.00 usd. The seller informed me that the transaction would be made through eBay buyer protection program. Immediately following, eBay sent me an eBay generated invoice detailing the purchase amount and instruction on how to "safely complete a bank to bank transfer". eBay also sent me corresponding emails addressed by their help line to further assist me in the transaction. I had no more contact with the seller, everything was coming from eBay. After three weeks eBay contacted me and said that the seller did not send shipping instructions so if I wanted a refund I was to contact their department. I did, and that's when a representive said that she seen my transaction, she read me out my invoice and transaction number, she informed me that the money had not been credited to anyone and to receive my funds I was to contact my bank and tell them to cancel the transaction. She then said I will cancel this order, and she sent me another email stating the transaction had been canceled. I talked to another represitive who informed me that none of he information was in the system and asked me to send all corresponding emails to spoof@ebay.com. I was the informed that all of the emails were fraudulent, even the email that the eBay representative sent me. I do not wish to pursue this any further than having the amount of 1350.00 usd returned to me. I am a full time student who is not employed, and i was trying to make this transaction as an investment to make a little more money for my family. I have contacted eBay which resulted in they will conduct an investigation, but i will not be privileged to the outcome even if they find out that it was an a eBay representive that committed the fraud. Please help me resolve this matter."
