Claimant says:
"On-line advertisement: Watched ad, kept going to another product to add to what I wanted. Said yes to cloths, 2 bottles of furniture polish, one scratch polish, and mitt. Discontinued watching ad, gave my crcd, did not proceed to check-out. Received product after discontinuing on-line, a week later. Was billed shipping & processing for each item. Total was $73.60 with $38.70 for shipping. In other words there was not one price for the shipping and processing that is standard practice for most companies.
When I called to complain a VERY DEFENSIVE WOMAN told me essentially that they advertise that this shipping and billing is their general practice and they advertise this on the TV and net so tough "cookies" for me. I said this is criminal/ a rip-off .
Not only that I tried the product and it's not what they purport it to be. I would have returned the product but then I have to pay shipping and I'm still out the $38.70 they charge for shipping and processing. To Me this is criminal! I called the Connecticut District Attorneys office and they confirmed that it wasn't legal and I'd have to file a case against them. I will do so this week if I don't get some response. Looks to me that this is just a marketing ploy to get people to buy a product that is inferior to that which they state it will do. Of course all their disqualifiers are sent in the package....
