Good Morning Jay,

Unfortunately, since the files was never uploaded to our system successfully, there would be no possible way for us to recover it. You will need to find the original file and re-upload to the server making sure that the process completes.

Please keep us posted with any other questions.

Best,
Michael

Jay,

We have absolutely no reason to keep you from your documents, so I can assure you we are being honest. The file was not completely uploaded, so there is quite literally nothing we can possibly do to 'deliver the file' if we do not have it. We apologize for any inconvenience, but it is important that you make sure a file is completely uploaded before you leave the upload dialog screen.

Best,
Michael

I think you people not being honest with me. The file is actually

Hi Jay,

I just want to confirm that Michael is correct. When a file name is *.part, it means the file did not finish uploading. Therefore, DriveHQ does not have the correct file.

To solve the problem, you need to find how the file was uploaded. You need to use the same device / software to resume uploading or upload it again.

Thank you,

David

  • I'm not frustrated. I just want access to the file mentioned that is actually there. It sits in your pro-folio. I want access to it. You comment and state, 'The attributes could have easily been migrated prior to the upload being interrupted.' What exactly do you mean? You omit that the 'attributes,' I use your wording have been migrated. You also made statements in the prior submission You are un-aware of how the file got to be uploaded. It there. Please deliver! There's no reason as to why the file cannot be downloaded.

  • DriveHq.com keeps contradicting themselves; Does DriveHq.com realise what there saying??? You say one thing and the other, but your words mean nothing!

'The clients claim that the file resides on our system is factually incorrect, else he would be able to download this from his account directly.'

'The attributes could have easily been migrated prior to the upload being interrupted.'
    Never answered a question???

' the file was never successfully uploaded to our servers. ' And; 'You can only see a .part name of the file and the size that is should have been. ' Counter your first statement Part file exists. It's actually a whole file. Well it is 'been.' Grammar???

And stop apologising. If you actually see the part file there; there would be access to that file. I challenge DriveHq.com to download the file.

  • I sympathize with this person - it's a horrible feeling when you lose a file - but I don't really see what the company can do about it.

When you're uploading a file, if you get a power or internet blip, or if you switch to another page, or answer a Skype call from your buddy overseas (lol that's how I blew it once) then the uploading can stop. There's usually a progress bar that shows the status of the upload and you get a notification when the file is successfully uploaded. It will show in your account.

It is always a good idea to check the uploaded file, just to be safe.

Unless this company notified you that the upload was successful when it wasn't, I don't really see a cause for complaint. Regardless, they really can't give you a file they don't have. I wish I had better advice but I don't, even after screwing up uploads myself when I KNEW better!

As frustrating as I know this is, there just isn't a lot to be done. Sorry.
