Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In june of 2010 I purchased a daewoo washer/dryer from appliance direct. the salesman assured me that they had qualified repairmen and ability to obtain parts, if necessary, within a reasonable timeframe.
I have had a problem with the dispencer tray and reservior since a month after purchase. By May of this year they had repalced the above twice.
In August the problem resurfaced. I asked for a new washer, they said no and said they would replaced the dispencer and reservior again. On August 11, 2011 my washer would not empty. I called Rand appliances to make an appointment for someone to come out the house to find out wha the problem was. Rand appliances was reluctant to set an appointment because they need to hear from a man called"Rauol" who appartently is the only person who can order parts from deawoo.
On monday I called Rand and was told Rauol would pay for he parts and i needed to pay the labor to which I agreed. We are now into the seconf week of September and Rand appliances stated they can do nothing until Rauol contacts them. I called Rauol on Wednesday and he said he thoughts the parts had been shippped on Tuesday but wanted to check and would call me back in 10-15 minutes. It has now been over 24 hours with no phone call.
Rand appliances cannot or willnot help. Rauol as usual will not return a call. I went back to appliance direct and the manager of the east colonial store listened to me and promised to call me the next day that was in early August I have yet to hear from him.
I am 74 years old and find it extremely difficult to lug a week's worth of laundry to the laundromat each week.
