Claimant says:
"At the time of my separation a credit card was opened up without my knowledge. it wasn't until a few years later when payments stopped I found out abut it. Discover wants nothing to do with this fraud account and will not even speak to the person that got it. Discover will not send a Signature card or assist in any way. Upon going through a few years of harassing collection companies and me turning them back to Discover they have now filed a Civil suit.

How can DISCOVER issue cards without identity verification. then say it is my fault for not filing charges for their flamboyant policy to issue cards to anyone with a computer.

Years of harassment and telling them to take care of their own mess. Now I have to come out of pocket to pay a lawyer. I would like to know just why they are not holding themselves accountable and ruining my life and mental stability over this."
