Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"When the wind blows in my area it takes the TV signal with it. We have only been a Direct TV customer for about 6 months and this has been the worst TV reception, and quality of service I have ever experienced. I heard rumors about this problem before I signed up for the service, but was assured that their reception has been greatly enhanced and there would be no reason that I should lose the signal. Just in the last three days we lost the signal six times. Yesterday 07/13/13, the signal was out for over two hours. This is now becoming very frustrating and with football season just around the corner, I am afraid it will only be worse. I am tired of calling because they always say it will be repaired soon. I wonder what Direct TV would say if my payment got blown away with the wind. The only resolution that would satisfy me at this point is for DIrect TV to dismiss this 24 month contract."

If the wind is causing an issue, you may need to check for any trees possibly covering the dish. If there is nothing that could block the dish when the wind blows, we certainly need to have someone come to your home check your system for any loose cables as this type of issue would not be a broadcasting issue.

    I do need to clarify that I do not have access to your account information as this is not a direct path to customer services. We are certainly here to help and trust that we will be able to assist you. Please call our 24 hour Technical Support Department at (800) 531-5000 when the issue is occurring.
