Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I bought an overhaul kit for a Volvo semi from diesel tech. they charged the assemble of overhaul kit and they rebuilded the head on 5 10 12. The thing is that it messed up on 11 01 12 but it was giving me issues thoughout those six months. We took it in to the agency of Volvo and they sad it was the head that was damaged, after we took it in we called diesel tech to inform them about the problem. They recommended an oil. we used it and at only 3000 miles the engine broke down. We took it to a mechanic, they said it was a problem with the parts of the overhaul kit. I tried telling diesel tech they were responsible for the broke down engine, but they said they didnt have nothing to do with it and that they weren't going to fix it at there"

  • Did you take it back to Diesel Tech at all when the engine first began acting up? If you had, it may have been an incorrect install or something that could have been fixed prior to all of the problems occurring. Was it serviced at all during those six months that it was giving you these problems? Unfortunately, if you hadn’t brought it back to the company in that time frame, and also have no other records of service from the time period, it could be the installation job, or something else entirely that was the issue. If you do have a history of service, that can help you in showing that the original install was the actual issue and that this company should be helping you.
